Call recording of ordering the Shake Weight over the phone

This odd workout device, the Shake Weight, has made the rounds around the internet now but if you haven't seen it, watch the YouTube video above.

The Shake Weight has been ridiculed for it's "motions" and the positions the models in the video hold them in. Just yesterday though, my sister forwarded me an audio clip of one of her coworkers ordering this on the phone over their break, and he describes it in such a way that is so blunt that it's downright hilarious.

Trying out facebook on the xbox 360

I got the invite this morning to preview the new xbox live dashboard and as promised, you can access facebook after the update. I'm pretty excited about the feature that allows you to easily view photos on facebook as a slideshow. Granted the quality is not that great, but it's pretty cool to view your friends' photos on the big screen. Now if they would only integrate flickr like this, that would be sweet.

MBED Microcontroller, The Coolest Thing I've Seen Today

MBED is a microcontroller that was designed for quick prototyping. As you see in the video, Steve, one of the beta testers of the mbed managed to hack a billy bass.

If you click through, you'll find a variation on this experiment where Steve managed to get the Billy Bass to read out twitter mentions for its twitter account via a webserver and an ethernet connection (no computer!).

There's already some resources being shared and you can program it using C++. The other cool thing is that it's just $60 if you preorder. I own one of these Billy Bass things and I'd love to hack around with it over Christmas break.
